Terms & Conditions

Palm Beach Currumbin Sports Club wishes to ensure that your function is a complete success, therefore certain terms and conditions have been established, so both parties are fully aware of obligations.

Tentative Bookings will be held for a period of 7 days only, after which time the space will be released if a room deposit has not been received. The cost of the room hire is to secure and confirm your booking.

Cancellation of Function
Cancellation of your function will forfeit your full deposit. No refunds will be given.

Final Details Menus, beverage requirements, entertainment, audio-visual requirements, room set-ups, start and finish times must be confirmed no later than seven (7) days prior to the commencement of the function.

Surcharge: 15% of total invoice for Public Holidays and on Sundays 10% surcharge will apply to all food and beverage.

Guaranteed Numbers are required fourteen (14) days prior to the function and charges will be based on these numbers or on final head count, whichever is greater.
 

Payment for all functions must be paid for in full seven (7) days prior to the event/ function. No refunds will be given after final numbers and final payment has been processed.

Payment Methods
Cash & Credit Cards
Payment of all food and beverages to be paid for in full by cash or credit card seven (7) working days prior to function, unless paying by cheque then payment is required fourteen (14) days prior.

Cheque
Payment needs to be received by the Club fourteen (14) days prior to the function commencing. CHEQUES SHOULD BE MADE OUT TO THE ORDER OF
Catering “Palm Beach Currumbin Sports Club" and for Beverages & Room Hire to “PALM BEACH CURRUMBIN SPORTS CLUB”. Should there be any outstanding charges, credit details will be required to settle any additional expenses on the day of the event and will incur a %15 surcharge.

Credit Cards
The client agrees to take full responsibility for all payments associated with the event. All charges pertaining to the event shall and will be charged to the credit card that is authorised for payment.

Established Accounts
Should your company have pre-arranged credit with the Club for the settlement of your account, it must be settled within seven (7) days of receiving the invoice.

Prices will be confirmed in writing along with the final function details. Every endeavour is made to maintain prices as printed, but these may be subject to change without notice. You will be notified immediately if this was to occur. All prices are inclusive of goods and services tax (GST).

Room Hire is subject to period required, number of guests in attendance and overall catering requirements. This charge can be discussed with our Banquets team when enquiring about your function. Price of room hire includes bar staff where required. Room hire is required to secure your function date.

Security – The Club will not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any equipment or merchandise left on the premises prior to, during, or after the function for any period of time. Our Banquets team will be happy to discuss arrangements with the client regarding deliveries and pick-ups prior to the commencement of the function. When a security guard is required for a function the Club will provide one depending on numbers of guests, if a second security guard is required this cost will be covered by the client.

Entertainment – The Club has a dance floor but does not supply entertainment. However, when conducting entertainment all doors and windows must remain closed at all times. No Beverage is allowed on the dance floor.

Compliance – Clients will be responsible to ensure the orderly behaviour of their guests and the Club reserves the right to intervene where it sees fit. As part of the Responsible Service of Alcohol Law, the Club reserves the right to intervene when appropriate and refuse service to anyone suspected of being intoxicated. Liquor is not to be sold or supplied, or to be consumed by minors (under 18). Guests attending a private function do not have to comply with Liquor Licensing sign in procedures but must complete a function list detailing all persons attending function.
Any person leaving the function area wishing to play poker machines or purchase alcohol must abide by licensing laws and must be a member, guest of a member, or a bona fide member or must sign in.

Displays and Signage – No items are to be attached, pinned, nailed, screwed, stapled or glued to the walls, doors or other surface. Bluetac is acceptable; arrangements must be made with Co-ordinator one week prior to function.

Damages – Clients will assume responsibility for any and all damages caused during the function by any of their guests or any other persons attending the function. The management reserves the right to close down a function for any misbehaviour or damage to Club property.

Fire, Life and Safety – The Club retains the right to adjust any set-up to ensure fire, life and safety codes are not breached.

Delivery and Collection of Goods – The Club will only accept delivery of goods one working day prior to an event and all goods must be collected within twenty-four hours after the event. The Club will not accept responsibility for any items delivered or left for collection outside these times.

Insurance – It is the client’s responsibility to take out their own insurance for all items belonging to them for the period those items are in the Club. The Club will take all care to ensure the safety of equipment and property, however will accept no responsibility for damages or theft.

Smoking – Salk’s Function room and the small function room are completely non – smoking. Salk’s room has a designated smoking area. Also a designated smoking area is available down stairs.

Food Safety Guidelines – NO FOOD OR BEVERAGE is to be brought onto the Club premises with the exception of the celebratory cakes under prior arrangements with the Club Manager.

Times
Palm Beach Currumbin Sports Club is licensed to serve alcohol until 12.00 Midnight Monday to Saturday.The Bar will close @ 11.45pm & Last drinks wil be called at 11.30pm
